A real gem on Youtube

Friday, October 31st, 2008

I saw this on a message board I subscribe to. They appear to be kinescopes form NBC’s coverage of the 1948 Presidential election. Think about these when you watch the coverage Tuesday night.

“That will be something when something when instead of hearing Frank Berkholzer we can switch out there and see the pandemonium that is raining down at the moment…”

If those guys could only see what election night coverage has become now.

Hayden as Claire Bennet

From MSNBC today:

An arrest warrant has reportedly been issued in Japan for “Heroes” star Hayden Panettiere over her dolphin-saving attempt last month in the country, but the actress appears to have no fear.

Well.. At least this arrest will be for something that is worthy of being arrested for, attempting to save dolphins, and not drugs or a DUI like many other celebrities in Hollywood.

As if I needed a reason to watch Heroes….

From the Marquette Alumni Newsletter e-mail thingy:

MU alumnus becomes a Hero
Nick D’Agosto, Comm ‘02, will be joining the cast of NBC’s
Heroes next season, playing the role of Claire’s (Hayden
Panettiere) new boyfriend, West. Since moving to Hollywood in
2002, the Nebraska native has done numerous bit parts in
television and movies, but his stint on Heroes will be his most
high-profile role to date.

I think he’s got a good gig there… Not someone I knew when I was at MU, but still, nice to see another MU alum on TV.
