Internet Update
Wednesday, April 9th, 2008Well… It’s back on. Yay! It only took me a week of dealing with AT&T’s customer service (most likely in India), an AT&T supervisor (most likely *not in India), and the AT&T Direct forum on DSLReports.com to get things up and running. And to think, all this work for a simple transfer of DSL from apartment a to apartment b. My god, if this had been a *new install, how long would I be waiting?
By the way, through this a few people have asked why I don’t just switch to Charter and get one of their “triple play” bundles instead. The short answer is, I’d rather deal with the crap that AT&T has put me through than to even think of giving Charter even 1 cent. This isn’t just a “jump on the bandwagon and hate Charter” deal either. I’ve seen from reports that my station’s consumer unit has taken that Charter just doesn’t understand how to do business, at all.
